Tamed the Monster Prince - Chapter 5.1
She cautiously indicated out the window with her index finger.
“That one is quite loud; however, it is not hazardous.”
“Are you okay?”
Upon hearing her words, Cesar’s body trembled, and he looked toward her. She experienced a peculiar sense of comfort.
His eyes, which had been previously tranquil, were now moist. His eyelids opened and closed in a series of short, intermittent movements.
A glimmer of silver and a bright beam of light suddenly illuminated the dimly lit room.
Upon finally getting a good look at Cesar, She involuntarily exclaimed in awe.
She was taken aback by what she had witnessed.
Intuitive apprehension and resistance emerged.
The most peculiar aspect was his left hand, which had elongated fingers, each longer and more pronounced than a typical human finger. The nails were large and pointed, and the back of the hand was adorned with unsightly, black scales.
Undeniably, this entity is not of human origin; its characteristics are too dissimilar.
“Quack, quack, quack!”
The reverberating thunder seemed to clear away his mental preoccupations.
Cesar experienced another tremor, accompanied by a loud groan.
“Aaaahhhh!”
She had the urge to vocalize her distress but could not. Cesar expressed his emotions vocally for an extended period before exhaling heavily.
He contorted his body with a loud thud, exhaling a ragged gasp. His spine cracked, and dark splotches of blood appeared on his face and arms.
And then the screams again.
“Aaaah! Aaaah!”
He appeared to be unwell and uncomfortable.
“Please, calm down…….”
She attempted to provide solace to him, yet there was no sign of emotion in Cesar’s gaze. All that remained was a wild, lust-filled animal.
The deep snarl of the animal reverberated through its snout.
An overwhelming sense of dread coursed through his veins. His jaw clenched, and his body trembled.
He was in an altered state of mind. She cannot speak for herself, but his expression seemed out of the ordinary.
There is a possibility of death. Irena is concerned that she may not survive this situation. Although she is tempted to cry out for help, she fears that no one will be able to hear her.
She was devoted to tackling the challenge before her.
“Are all four women who disagreed with the initial prince deceased?”
“Their body was found in a state of severe blood loss….”
The conversation at the wedding was still audible.
In this perplexing situation, her only recourse was maintaining her composure to avoid fainting. There were no other options.
After emitting a loud outcry, he abruptly ceased. Subsequently, a loud thud was heard. Upon looking up, he was observed to have collapsed onto the ground.
Upon receiving the signal, she attempted to make haste toward the door. However, she could only proceed by crawling due to her impaired mobility.
She arrived at the door and attempted to open it by turning the doorknob; however, she was unsuccessful. She then tried to open it by applying force to the doorknob.
She was aware that the knights had recently departed and secured the door. Unsurprisingly, the robust wooden door would not open. It was to be expected.
Despite that, she persisted in attempting to open the door, so she used her fingernails to scrape against it.
The stillness was overwhelming, and her body was filled with a sudden chill. A cold sensation ran down her spine, causing her to pause and take a deep breath.
It was not advisable to look back; however, she found her body was no longer in her control and acting involuntarily, similar to a horse.
She cautiously rotated her head and was met with a luminescent radiance from a pair of crimson eyes.
She established visual contact with him.
“Aaah!”
She shouted in alarm. She also instinctively seized the dagger, brandishing it erratically. She was in a state of shock, unable to perceive anything.
Cesar appeared to be composed, keeping a close eye on her.
“Ow!”
She experienced a sharp pain sensation in her hand upon swinging the dagger carelessly, resulting in an injury.
There was a clattering sound as the knife dropped to the floor, releasing a stream of scalding liquid. The sensation was comparable to submerging one’s hand in boiling water.
Crimson droplets fall steadily, creating a widening pool on the ground.
Cesar was still observing her intently, with an expression of awe.
She felt highly disoriented and nauseous, so she could not maintain her balance. She ended up slumping against the wooden door.
He proceeded slowly, taking one step at a time and giving her a cursory glance as if he were analyzing her appearance.
Before long, they were in proximity.
“Excuse me?”
He was immediately drawn to the pool of blood on the ground. He proceeded to investigate by sticking his nose into it and inhaling deeply. Irena was taken aback by the situation’s intensity and momentarily forgot about her discomfort.
“Stop it…….”
