Tamed the Monster Prince - Chapter 3.2
The moment that the groom finally laid eyes on his future wife for the first time was the day of the wedding. The groom, rumoured to be painfully introverted and reclusive, decided not to attend the wedding and instead chose to send a representative in his place who wore a mask. The groom is said to be painfully introverted and reclusive. The representative was responsible for reciting the marriage vows and offering the witness a blessing during the ceremony. Because of the peculiar vibe at the wedding, the bride had no say in the matter. She was unable to question the representative about whether or not it was, in fact, the groom.
Consequently, the representative could not confirm whether or not it was the groom. The use of rose petals as decoration and the flickering light of candles in the bridal chamber contributed to the feeling of mystique that permeated the space. The groom emerged from the room after a loud knock was delivered on the massive door made of dark wood.
She was mentally preparing herself for what was about to take place by slowly moving her head in different directions. Following that, she had the impression that he was an electric shock that was approaching her. He was getting closer to her.
He was not travelling by himself; instead, at the request of others, he was carried in a litter and was accompanied on his journey by one servant and four knights. During his travels, he was not alone.
Shackles made of sturdy iron were used on him so that he could be safely restrained. When the litter was moved around, there was a sound like something being clanged together that could be heard.
“Wha-?”
She made a muffled sound, but none of the knights or attendants in the room responded to the sound when it came from her mouth.
“W-what in the world is this?”
She inquired hesitantly. The response from the servant was given in a monotone.
“It is His Highness, Cesar,” the servant said.
“Yes.”
Because of the unique qualities of his appearance, it was possible to identify him as Cesar. Despite sharing the same colour as the night sky, his hair was as jet black as the abyss, giving the impression that he was carved from marble. She had seen a portrait of him before the wedding, which gave her the impression that his face was severe but striking.
She questioned whether the person who was chained up and unconscious was, in fact, Cesar, a prince of the nation. Cesar was the subject of her investigation. She couldn’t help but reflect on the sequence of events that led up to his arrival, and she found that she could not prevent herself from doing so.
Cesar was transferred to the bed quickly, and the restraints keeping him there were removed rapidly. Once the last shackles were taken off the prisoner, it felt like the ordeal was finally over.
“Hey!”
She was under the impression that they were about to leave in such a manner, so she thought she needed to contact them immediately. The attendant gave a glance behind them before turning back around.
“He is going to wake up very soon.”
They exited the room while maintaining an utter lack of conversation, which resulted in the massive wooden door slamming shut behind them. It was possible to hear the clicks and clunks of the locks and padlocks being engaged further away than the entrance.
“What in the devil could this be?”
Since daytime weddings are not the norm, she was taken aback when she learned that the ceremony would take place during the day. She was completely taken aback by the events that transpired, even though she had not planned to have a traditional wedding ceremony. She never in a million years could have anticipated the result.
She shifted her stance and reexamined the fundamental issue initially causing the problem. When she noticed that the movements in Cesar’s chest, which indicated that he was still sleeping, had not changed, she felt a sense of relief. These movements showed that he was still sleeping. The knights had just finished announcing that they anticipated him to become conscious within the next few moments. Was he given a sedative to assist him in unwinding and calming down?
“Ugh…”
A nervous chuckle was the only thing that could be heard in the deafening silence. Irena was confused about the next step to take. The premarital sexual education she received did not prepare her for a situation like this and did not give her any direction. Her thoughts were moving very fast. Everything looked like it had been thrown into complete disarray. Which course of action would have been most appropriate? At that precise instant, something took place.
