Tamed the Monster Prince - Chapter 16.2
She felt uneasy as he stood in front of him with his eyes scanning her body from head to toe, which made him seem even more menacing.
“Do not be so anxious, Irene. I am merely arriving to greet your mother. ”
He moved closer to her.
The aroma of sandalwood permeated the atmosphere, indicative of an adult male presence. This caused an uncomfortable reaction, resulting in Irena’s cheeks flushing.
“You are not authorized to utilize my name.”
She was composed as if she had just finished speaking with royalty. Her tone of voice was authoritative.
Despite her demeanor, Matthias maintained a pleasant expression. He appeared calm in the situation.
“Is it appropriate to address you as “Princess”?”
Because he was so entertaining, he slowed her down with a grin and a remark whenever she tried to advance. The discomfort caused by his gaze increased even further.
Matthias’s look was like that of a hefty hammer; it pounded forward with unrelenting determination and echoed loudly whenever it met with opposition. On the other hand, his gaze was intense and penetrating, as though he were attempting to investigate Irena further.
“If nothing else needs to be discussed, I will take my departure.”
“Wait.”
He seized her neck as she attempted to retreat, causing her tired legs to collapse.
“Ahh.”
She uttered a faint cry of surprise and stumbled forward, only to be caught by Matthias ‘ arms before she could fall.
“Be careful.”
She found herself in his embrace, and his arms held her more firmly when she attempted to separate.
“Let go of me.”
At that moment, she was acutely aware of his breath. He leaned his head towards her and inhaled deeply, causing a chill to run down her spine.
“Excuse me.”
She quickly distanced herself from the individual whose movement she perceived to be more courteous than the contact that had occurred earlier. It was as if she had trodden on something sticky, giving her an uneasy feeling. As she took in the surroundings, she found breathing difficult, and the heat on her cheeks was uncomfortable. The onlookers seemed unconcerned about what was happening around them. It was as if they were unaware of the context of the situation. She decided she would not give this person any more opportunities and lightly touched her forehead.
“Apologies, I must be going now.”
She did not want to be in the same vicinity as this individual. She attempted to leave rapidly, but he seized her hand again.
“… …”
He uttered something inappropriate to her. Before she could respond, Matthias shifted his body and told the attendants. “My Princess is not feeling well. Please make arrangements for a litter to be prepared for her.”

When she first arrived at Obsidian Place, she did not know how her mental state would develop. She assumed a position on the bed that made it appear as though she was floating. It was a relief to discover that Mercedes’ instructions had been followed and the place’s interior had been cleaned up.
She probed the uneven surface of the bedding with her fingertips in a cautious manner.
“Uuuu…..”
She was perplexed by the unfamiliar sound of her voice.
She grasped the sheets tightly; her grip was so firm that the bones on her hand became visible.
‘What an intriguing question; do you know about the intimate relationship between a man and a woman?’
Recalling the words Matthias uttered in her ear evoked a powerful emotion within her. She was unable to cope with the intensity of the inquiry.
“Damn, bastard!”
She then made a loud exclamation, which was more typical of her behavior in more public settings, as she threw the cushion onto the bed. She had the urge to scream at the top of her lungs. However, considering they were in the royal palace, she was extremely cautious so that nothing would be reported to the monarch.
“Len.”
At that moment, she heard Cesar’s voice.
“Yes?”
Upon entering the bedroom, she discovered that Cesar had taken refuge underneath the bed. His expression was one of embarrassment, and the cushion she had thrown earlier was present in the vicinity.
‘What is this situation?’
She was taken aback upon seeing him emerge from the pile of dust, as she had not heard the cushion fall.
“No, that’s not important.”
“What is how you accessed this location?”
“Hehe…”
Upon questioning, he smiled in response. This left Irena speechless.
“Come out here.”
He complied and ascended the bed upon her request, snuggling up close to her.
It was surprising that he had chosen to hide beneath the bed. When did he decide to take refuge there? Was he waiting for her to arrive? Did the thought of concealing himself in such a location occur to him?
He consistently surprises her with his unexpected actions, and it’s truly remarkable.
