Princess Sherry's Tale - Chapter 13.1
There were words left for Tol when his predecessor, Hans, left. When he first heard those words, he wondered what kind of nonsense it was… Jade’s tone was sharp as a sword.
“First of all, your premise is wrong. Because Miss Sherri is nothing like other girls.”
The senior knight’s advice was mixed in with Tol’s sluggish steps as he returned to the main building.
“Since the young woman is twenty years old you could be attracted enough to that. Despite such circumstances, usually, a somewhat skilled knight assists with entertaining her. I’m asking by the way if you can handle it.”
Handle…
Tol couldn’t even handle that word. Beating around the bush, Jade warned him.
“Because even if she says she has a contraceptive, in rare occurrences it does not work. But you wouldn’t have had the chance to find that out.”
“That…”
“If that’s not the case, can you control it?”
Tol could vaguely guess what he was talking about. However, for Tol, who still hadn’t even had one experience, it was a problem he couldn’t easily answer.
“If I experience it a few, no, just once or twice I’ll become somewhat of a—”
“That’s why I’m asking if you can handle it; if you can handle having an illegitimate child.”
Tol’s face blanched at the words ‘illegitimate child’. Jade wouldn’t have intended, but to Tol, those words were like the king’s wrath.
“Keep that in mind, ‘Tol’. The problem of Miss Sherri’s heir is related to our empire and even the duchy.”
Tol knew that. That was the reason why her marriage with Prince Edwin had gotten called off.
But when he found out why she had allowed him to escort her, his heart constantly shook like the ground on a stormy night. When he met the gaze of the beautiful eyeballs looking up at him closely his mind burned white. Was that it?
Unlike her face, where warnings under the guise of advice were uselessly young, her well-developed body had been persistently embedded in his sight. There had been many moments when his efforts to turn away felt useless.
Tol had lived a good life, satisfied with his life that he never thought of women and only worked hard on sharpening his swordsmanship.… From some point on, when he was alone or had some free time, it was so painful for him to keep thinking of these severe delusions.
“Crazy bastard…” he muttered to himself.
It was not once or twice that he wanted to kill himself for imagining dirty things against the heir, the forbidden young woman who will lead the marquis. Tol often couldn’t sleep at night because of her kind words. So, he tried to maintain a polite attitude all the time so that he couldn’t like the princess anymore and not create more intimacy than necessary.
However, she insisted on the unique nickname that he didn’t allow, and he couldn’t stop the princess from playing games with his heart. Yesterday, when she was exceptionally touchy-feely, he didn’t know how much time he had spent trying to calm himself down.
* * *
“If you don’t want me to pass out, then what the hell is it?”
“Madam Kasheira…”
But he couldn’t believe this was happening less than a day later… No matter how much it was to replenish moisture for the young woman on the verge of exhaustion, it was inevitable that he was conscious of her.
Where on earth had this softness which seemed to stand up all over his body come from even though it had only been just a kiss?
It had actually been his first kiss with a woman, but he never felt pity nor dissatisfaction for having been robbed of that moment. Why would I be so happy and sad about such a trivial matter just because she has such a precious body, he thought.
However, what Jade had said and the image of Prince Edwin, whom Tol had only seen once before, came back to mind. Even if she was not such a noble person, how dare a guard like him touch her?
Even now, according to his instinct, it felt like he was going to jump on her and do something bad, not just kiss her lips, but the reason that had supported him for 22 years was rebuking him, saying, “You shouldn’t want a princess anymore.” But perhaps oblivious to Tol’s troubled heart, this young woman continued to urge him with a look that drove him crazy.
“How dare I? I cannot.”
“Tol, Tol. Aren’t you being presumptuous? It’s not a kiss, it’s you, an escort feeding me water. Heyyy, come on…”
A sweet, seductive, honey-like voice fluttered in his ears. On top of that, Tol, who had already been persuaded by her because her voice echoed in the bathroom, missed the fact that Sherri was no longer gasping like earlier.
