Moonlight Ball - Chapter 111
Iris kissed Sidrain on the lips, and then clumsily put her tongue into his lips. His tongue was waiting for her inside. When she thrust her tongue into his mouth and touched his, awkwardly rubbing against it a little, he could no longer wait.
Their kiss roughened. Sidrain’s hand wrapped around Iris’s waist. He tugged her body closer to his and continued to kiss her with passion. Even when Iris’s waist curved dangerously, he couldn’t stop kissing her.
The clock now pointed at five. The early summer’s dawn was bright.
Everyone had returned to where they were staying. Meanwhile, Iris was heading to the Queen’s room with Sidrain. The hallway was quiet and the moonlight was clear. Iris remembered the moon spirit she saw earlier. That spirit that wanted to bankrupt her left her will the bill that was exceptionally longer than any of the representatives and disappeared. That bill had all kinds of things on it.
There weren’t any spirits that really wanted money. 215 bottles of styptic, 180 bottles of painkiller… They all wanted medicine from Iris. Iris was well known to make medicine that worked well on spirits. Other magicians weren’t interested in medicine that worked well on spirits but Iris was different. She was interested in spirits’ bodies.
First, a spirit’s body can be cured just by pure magic, second, she had house spirits like Leiden that she lived with. They were always sick for some reason and whined that their head, shoulder, knee, toe, knee, toes hurt all the time. As she had to have 8 spirits worth of medicine ready, so she had to prep all kinds of medicine.
A real-world problem crossed Iris’s mind. It would take half a year to make all of the medicine, and it’ll cost a lot of money. However, those problems only crossed her mind for a second. She wasn’t in her right rationality.
Sidrain’s pace became faster and his hand was holding hers tightly. His hand was hot.
Iris cared more about Sidrain’s warmth than the problems she would face later on. He was holding her hand so tightly that she couldn’t wrap her hand properly around his. He was pressing down on her joints. Iris felt like her hand was like a fish on a spear.
As they arrived at the Queen’s room after walking down the hallway lit by the moonlight, Iris flinched. Sidrain, after walking into the room, looked back as she stopped.
“Ris.”
Iris blinked up at Sidrain.
He will become the winner of life. I know that. I knew that from the beginning but I still did something crazy for your victory. And I don’t regret it much now.
I thought it was good that I did that crazy thing because you were smiling.
That’s maybe because I really think you’re important to me.
I thought I only liked my teacher but I like you too. Maybe I like you more. I don’t know why it came to be like this.
Iris examined Sidrain’s face for a bit and faintly smiled.
I like you so much that even though I’m doing something crazy, I feel like it’s nothing.
“You can come into my room,” she said.
She didn’t want to delay her answer. She knew that he had been waiting all this time.
What Sidrain asked for was scary–an unknown world. Sidrain was asking her to trust him and leap into it. He wasn’t just asking for it. He will also be responsible. Even if she was ruined or in pain, he will hold her and spend that time together with her.
It would be a lie to say she didn’t lose to loneliness. Iris was lonely. The world without her teacher was dreadfully lonely. But that wasn’t all.
It would be a lie to say she running away into Sidrain’s kind touch. That touch made her forget everything. Her teacher that left her here, herself that didn’t chase that teacher to hang onto his feet, that she’s being weird. Their perfect world was destroyed and when she had no choice but to admit that they were separated, Sidrain’s touch helped Iris not think about anything. But that wasn’t all.
Even if she became lonelier, and even if that led her to be completely alone in the end, Iris wouldn’t regret this moment.
“But I’m Iris.”
She could see that this powerful man’s red eyes were shaking visibly.
“And I’m not a queen.”
Iris shook her head. Whoever was the owner of this body before, she was not Queen Rosemary. Not a queen either. She is Iris, separated from Elaine Rosi, and now became a wizard Iris.
“So if you want me as a queen–”
Sidrain grabbed Iris’s waist. Tyrannical kissing continued. Sidrain shoved his tongue into Iris’s throat. He kissed Iris like he wanted to put everything into her.
“My lady. You’re mine. You’re my Queen,” Sidrain whispered in full of joy. And I’ll gladly let it be like that.
